Solving the Mysteries of Dog Behaviour, One Case at a Time!

At Scotland Dog Training, I take the time to truly understand your dog—not just what they do, but why they do it. Through thoughtful observation and analysis, I’ll uncover the root causes of behaviour, so we’re not just putting a bandage on the problem. I’ll work closely with you to create a tailored dog training plan using positive reinforcement, and teach you how to make lasting changes you can confidently maintain on your own.

My Story

It all began many years ago, with my wee “naughty” dog, Rex. He was reactive (barked and lunged at everything) and aggressive and when I set out to find a trainer for him, it was recommended that he be “punished” for his behavior. Treating aggression with aggression made no sense to me, so set out to become a dog trainer myself.

As I studied and practiced with Rex, his transformation was so profound, I decided I had to share the methods with others.

Fast forward 17 years - I am now an Advanced Reactive Dog Specialist and Certified Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. I moved from California to Scotland in 2024. While I am “new” to Scotland, I am certainly not new to dog training.

I have perfected the techniques into my own and I am excited to share them with you!

My Mission

My mission at Scotland Dog Training is to offer safe, effective and affordable dog training that people can easily understand and repeat. I don’t just address the “symptoms” of dog behaviour, I get to the heart of the issue. Through careful, observation, analysis, and a commitment to understanding each dog’s unique personality, I’ll uncover the causes of each behaviour and work with you to develop a customized, positive reinforcement dog training plan.

My goal is not to just solve problems, but to strengthen the bond between human and dog - so they can live together in harmony and understand each other better.

To date, I have trained over 1,000 dogs across the USA, in Spain, Portugal, England and Scotland. Because all dogs learn in the same way, and my methods are tried and true, it’s Universal!
